MW Region's Most Recent Local Producer Loan Recipient

We are happy to announce the Midwest Region’s most recent Local Producer Loan recipient, Pacha Soap Co.! Located in Hastings, Nebraska, Pacha Soap Co. produces organic health and beauty products. They can currently be found in the MW, PN, SO, FL, NA, NC, SP and SW regions.

After being inspired after living, working, and learning in Peru, Andrew Vrbas founded Pacha Soap Co. He launched the operation from his college apartment with the goal to help start social enterprises in developing nations around the world while producing a purposeful product. Best friends, Andrew and Abi, started their friendship around good conversation and creating during the early stages of the company. She made paper and he made soap. After marrying in 2013, the two remain partners and best friends in their soap-making endeavors.

Pacha Soap is on a mission is to promote health and well-being around the world and to implement sustainable solutions to the poverty cycle, while also providing the finest products... all with veracity and love! Through their buy-one, give-one campaigns, every soap purchase gives back to their mission! They love creating and crafting, sharing and giving, listening and learning– and of course riding around in Bubbles, the 1971 VW Bus!  Learn more of their story through this WFM Values Matter Video.  This loan will help to launch Pacha’s brand new liquid soap line which will be exclusive to Whole Foods!

Since loan recipients have a unique relationship with Whole Foods Market, we’d really appreciate you keeping Pacha Soap Co. in mind for things like in-store marketing, promotions, demos, etc.  Please share this information with your team members and guests!

National Coffee Day Results

Good morning team!

We are excited to let you know that with all of your support, we sold 78,131 cups of freshly brewed Allegro Coffee on National Coffee Day, 9/29, across Whole Foods Market stores!! With our $1.00 donation for every cup sold up to 30,000 cups, we at Allegro Coffee are donating $30,000 to Whole Planet Foundation

What’s the impact?
  • $30,000 / $187 (current average WPF loan size) = ~160 loans funded to empower entrepreneurial women in 68 countries to change their lives through lifting themselves and their family out of poverty through their small business.
  • Number of loans funded x 5.35 = ~856 people helped through the impact that each dollar makes in the communities these micro loads are distributed to and enriched by.

Another Wicked Pissa Happy Customer!

Jacky just won a $500 WFM Gift Card. As our Bakery TL (closing shifty tonight) walked her to the car she was in tears. She let us know that she started shopping here some years ago and now only shops here in order to get good clean foods for her son who is autistic.

She was psyched.
