NYT: What 9 Shoppers Wore to the Whole Foods in Williamsburg by By Max Berlinger

There’s a new place to buy kale in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This summer, a 51,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market opened on Bedford Avenue, in the heart of the neighborhood’s lively mix of bars, music halls and indie boutiques. Sure, it was another unmistakable sign of Williamsburg’s commercialization. But even longtime residents seemed grateful to have an upscale market, stocked with organic produce, a tap room and a food court featuring Brooklyn favorites. Here’s what some wore to do their grocery shopping.

Today is Poverty is Unnecessary Day, which celebrates the 5% day that seeded Whole Planet Foundation in 2005. We’re excited to announce that WPF has already received $1500 in donations since they kicked off their 25 Hours of Giving campaign!

WPF Co-Chariman of the Board, Lee Valkenaar, will also donate $1,000 to WPF, and will match the first $1,000 of donations received!
·        Sharing WPF social media posts from their FacebookTwitter and Instagrampages to drive online donations during today’s 25 Hours of Giving
·        Spreading awareness at your locations about the generosity of our supplier partners and the transformative power of microcredit.
